Training for HR Professionals

A new initiative for Learning Connections is to offer professional development courses for Human Resource specialists in CMHCs -- watch for webinars on subjects such as performance measures and improving employee morale.

A recent, well-received course was "Measuring Progress in Employee Engagement," taught by Laurie Francis, CEO, and Lara Salazar, HR Director, from Community Health Partners in Montana. They presented and demonstrated the "Are We Progressing?" staff and leadership assessment tool created by the Baldrige National Quality Program. This tool offers a comprehensive, quantitative way to focus efforts on improvement in staff engagement in their work.
